The primary focus of YWAM Destination Paradise is to equip emerging leaders for wildly successful lives and effective Christian service. In order to accomplish this task and fulfill the objectives set forth for all three phases, staff and students spend much time with the people in the nations they visit. Although some mercy ministry happens during lecture phase, it is primarily the outreach and internship phases that see the most practical expression of ministry.
YWAM Destination Paradise seeks to discover where God is working and join Him, coming alongside YWAM bases, churches, local Christian ministries, or missionary organizations. When the Body of Christ works together, amazing things happen.
YWAM Destination Paradise models the sharing of God’s love and seeks a multitude of ways to do so, meeting whatever needs possible on location. This could include painting a police station, holding babies in an orphanage, facilitating a vaccination program in conjunction with a local hospital, helping serve lunch to homeless people, sharing God’s riches with street kids, teaching a bible study in a local church, inviting people to a worship service, or just spending time with those who are lonely.
It would be most difficult to teach and model evangelism without sharing God’s Word.
It would be impossible to model compassion without spending time with people who are in need.
YWAM Destination Paradise seeks the place where God is working and joins Him.
